The Tour de France will bring it’s iconic L’Etape event to
Ireland this September giving up to 3,000 cyclists the chance to sample the
unique thrills and challenge of a Tour de France stage in Ireland for the first
time.
Designed and vetted by the team behind the Tour de France,
two routes, starting in Carrik-on-suir, Co Tipperary, will take in some of the
country’s most breathtaking scenery and epic climbs where cyclists can
experience the Tour De France on their own terms.
This year our nominated charity is Down Syndrome Ireland
Tipperary Branch, a voluntary organisation who support families and individuals
with Down syndrome.

Down Syndrome Tipperary has over 100 active members ranging in age from 0 to 50 years. The branch is committed to providing support to all members through the provision of therapies, activities, and courses. We provide support to family members and care givers also. People with an intellectual disability are very much overlooked in our society and require support. We endeavour to provide activities and programmes that support and promote their lives.
